6 Hermes Agent Use Cases That Actually Work for Business
Six real Hermes Agent use cases I run today, personal and for paying clients: phone calls, content research, social posting and building apps by text.

Hermes Agent earns its keep when it is connected to tools that let it act outside a chat window: a phone number, your apps, and a coding agent. I posted my personal Hermes tech stack on the Hermes subreddit, it passed 84,000 views, and the most common request was to see it actually working. So here are six use cases I run today, three personal and three for businesses, built on three integrations: AgentCall, Composio and Claude Code. Nothing here is a course pitch. It is what I use.

Use case 1: call your own AI agent (Hermes + AgentCall, personal)
I call my agent Laura, my chief of staff, because she knows a lot about me. Connecting her to AgentCall gives her a phone number. That moves the agent from a chat box in Telegram to something I can ring and talk to, and every conversation is stored and remembered.
In the demo I called her, asked what we had discussed a few days earlier, and she recalled it: the AgentCall demo flow and how to shape the offer for a creator audience. I asked her to speak Spanish, then Arabic, and she did. Then I gave her a task: research the Hermes subreddits and put content ideas for next week in my Google Drive folders, focused on use cases. She confirmed, and the work happened after the call.

Use case 2: after-hours calls for a plumbing business (Hermes + AgentCall, business)
People ask how this makes money when it costs API calls. Here is the example.
Joe's Plumbing is a 24-hour service. Joe is a solo operator. He needs someone to answer the phone after hours, speak several languages, take clear details, and send him a quick summary so he can follow up. Hiring a person who speaks 13 languages and works around the clock is not affordable for Joe. He would happily pay a fraction of that for a number that answers as his business.
In the recorded call, the receptionist greeted the caller as Joe's Plumbing, collected the name, callback number, service address, whether it was a home or business, the urgency, and any access notes, confirmed each detail back, and said Joe would call or text at his earliest availability. Joe gets the summary when the call drops. That is the whole product, and it works today.
Use case 3: a content research pipeline (Hermes + Composio, personal)
Composio is my favorite Hermes integration. It is a buffet of over a thousand apps, so instead of wiring each vendor to Hermes with its own API, you authenticate once and the agent can reach all of them.
I connected Reddit and Google Drive. With a Reddit account connected, the agent sees subreddits and far more than the public view. Here is the workflow I run:
- Hermes checks what is trending in the Hermes and AI subreddits and researches those topics.
- It writes them into a "Percy's YouTube content" folder in Drive, ranked by engagement and by the questions people are asking, with content ideas in a Review folder.
- I go through Review. Anything I am not comfortable talking about, I discard. What I like, I move to Approved.
- A cron job has Hermes check the Approved folder on a schedule. For each idea it does deeper research and produces a script, thumbnails and a title.
- It messages me that the project is ready. After I have used what I want, I move it to Archive, or ask Hermes to, since it is also connected to my YouTube and can see what I have posted.
Use case 4: a content engine for a gym owner (Hermes + Composio, business)
A gym owner and personal trainer told me: I know content is everything, and I do not have time to make it. So we sat down and built a content plan first. What styles do they like? Motivation Monday, nutrition Tuesday? I put that into a document and sent it to Hermes.
Through Composio, Hermes connects to YouTube, LinkedIn, Reddit and X. It researches what is trending in fitness, and it can go as narrow as fitness subreddits in St. Louis. The research lands in Drive using the same review and approve flow as my own. Then Hermes creates the content: images through ChatGPT image generation, video through Higgsfield, cartoon or realistic, whatever the client chose. For the first couple of weeks the client and I review everything. After that, Hermes posts to Instagram on a schedule: research on this day, post at this time.
Someone is paying me for this today. Add the token cost to your price; you are saving the owner time to do what they are good at. And the part that replaces an agency: every month Hermes can go into Instagram and YouTube, see what got comments and likes and what did not, and produce a new plan of what to double down on. Hermes told me my Hermes tutorials were what got views, which is how this channel found its niche.
My client now posts one personal video a week to motivate their members. Everything else is posted by Hermes. The Instagram guide covers the mechanics.
Use case 5: build a mobile game by text (Hermes + Claude Code, personal)
Hermes is connected to my GitHub, my Cloudflare account, and Claude Code. I send a Telegram message, Hermes acts as the manager and hands the task to Claude Code, Claude builds it, deploys it to Cloudflare (Vercel works too), and Hermes sends me the link.
I took my dog for a walk, texted Hermes to recreate Temple Run, and by the time I got home, about 27 minutes later, Jungle Run was playable. In the recorded demo I asked Hermes to have Claude use Fable 5 to build a Candy Crush style game called Candy Smash and return a link. It did, and the game worked: swap fruit, match three, they pop.
Use case 6: live website changes in a client meeting (Hermes + Claude Code, business)
You are reviewing a website with a client. They say they do not like the font or the color. Instead of opening a laptop or promising changes next week, you text Hermes: ask Claude to change the font from orange to blue. Within minutes you have a link and the client sees the change on the spot.
